When you begin thinking about your wedding, what do you visualize ? Your colors, the flowers, your bridesmaids’ gowns? Most likely, you see all of the images that have been running through your mind since you were 4 years old. Those images certainly may vary as you move through the process of planning your actual wedding. If you keep a journal of your thoughts, you can determine what you will and what you will not be willing to compromise on as your wedding elements take shape. Deciding early on which elements are most important will help you to create a unified look for your wedding.- Budget Tracker

Q and A
Question – What wedding planner software should I choose?
Answer – Wedding planning software for professionals can help keep you organized and save you time. But you need to select carefully to make sure the software is right for you. First, check prices and make sure the software solutions you are looking at are within your budget. Good, professional wedding planning software is an investment of a few hundred dollars.
There are a number of template type wedding sites on my blog that are free software that is meant for brides, they may not have all of the checklists and forms you need. Have a look at them and if you decide to do it all yourself then they are there for you to sign up and use.
Should you decide that it would be to time consuming for you, I would be happy to set you up with a blog of your choice. Choose from the different types – Silver – Gold or Platinum listed at the top of the blog. Please feel free to contact me with any questions – see the CONTACT ME form on the right of this blog.
Q and A
Question – I have questions about vendor contracts. When negotiating with vendors , what should I do when the vendor doesn’t have a contract? Do I need to sign a vendor contract?
Answer – It’s preferable not to work with vendors who do not use contracts. It is a sign that they do not know how to operate a business, in which case they might not have the knowledge needed to give you the professional service you expect. Yes I do have a contract form that I like to use for my clients. If they do not have one it tells you they are not running a legitimate business, which means they may not have the appropriate licenses and permits needed to run a business in their field. (For example, a caterer who sells liquor without a liquor license.) A no no.
Here are 7 things you should look for in a vendor
…when you are considering adding them to your network of wedding professionals:
- They have the necessary licenses, permits, and insurance needed to offer services in their area of expertise.
- They have a good reputation, have experience working within your niche, and know how to please brides & grooms.
- They are polite and responsible, they attend meetings on time and promptly return your calls.
- They are willing to negotiate fairly with you and/or your groom.
- They speak respectfully about their clients and other vendors.
- They listen to you and they are willing to take your direction.
- They love what they do so they are committed to doing the best they can for you and your groom
Decide the features you need and want for your wedding.
Not all wedding planning software is the same. Decide what you need the software to do for you before making an investment because each has different features. Do your research.
